Responsibilities

As our platform scales rapidly, maintaining a reliable and efficient infrastructure is mission-critical. This role will help ensure our systems remain stable, secure, and cost-effective—so families can rely on us every day.

What You’ll Own

• Infrastructure Reliability & Optimization: Maintain backend system uptime above 99.95%, optimize infrastructure cost per active session, and ensure top API endpoints have live latency tracking.
• Build and Deployment Performance: Improve and sustain build deployment speed and production failure rates across all environments.
• Incident Management & Resolution: Respond to and resolve Tier-1 incidents within SLA, conduct root-cause analysis within 48 hours, and maintain readiness for critical system events.
• Knowledge Sharing: Lead internal sharing sessions to upskill the team on infrastructure best practices, tools, and learnings.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute initiatives that enhance system scalability and operational excellence.

What Success Looks Like

• Backend infrastructure uptime consistently exceeds 99.95%.
• Incident resolution SLA met within 60 minutes, with root cause logged in 48 hours for >90% of incidents.
• Infra cost per session reduced by at least 3% quarter-on-quarter.
• Build deployment and staging times improved to meet targets.

Requirements You’re a Fit If

• You are skilled in site reliability engineering, with 2–4 years of experience maintaining and improving large-scale systems.
• You enjoy solving complex technical problems quickly and don’t freeze under pressure.
• You are comfortable with dynamic priorities and cross-functional collaboration.
• You have strong business awareness and can connect technical work to user and commercial impact.
