We are looking for a skilled Junior Cook to prepare meals according to the menu. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and deliver well-prepared meals. They must be adept at navigating the kitchen and proficient in multitasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also essential. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation, allowing us to expand our clientele. Culinary students and graduates can apply for our internship and on-the-job training programs. You must present either an enrollment letter or a diploma.
This is a 12-month employment program in the US under a J1 professional exchange visa. Open to international applicants. Visa sponsorship is provided for qualified candidates.
The U.S.A. J-1 Training Program is a cultural exchange program by the U.S. Department of State that gives students, recent graduates, and young professionals from around the world the opportunity to come to the U.S. and share their culture and ideas with Americans while receiving in-depth Culinary training in the best hotels and resorts throughout the United States for up to 12 months.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

• Receive a minimum of 32 to 40 hours per week of training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set up workstations with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Cook food in various utensils or grills
• Check the food while cooking to stir or turn
• Ensure an excellent presentation by dressing the dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check the quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders when shortages occur.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
• Formal culinary education OR experience is required
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent communication skills and physical condition
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
