Position Summary
The Interior Design Manager leads the design team and oversees the creative, design, and implementation of interior design projects. This position requires close collaboration with clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure that design solutions balance aesthetics, functionality, and feasibility, and are completed within budget and timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the overall design direction and style, leading the team from concept design to construction drawings.
Communicate with clients to gain a deep understanding of their needs and provide customized design solutions that meet budget and aesthetic requirements.
Guide and review designers' plans, drawings, materials, and color palettes to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, factories, and construction teams to resolve design and implementation issues.
Monitor market trends in materials, furniture, and craftsmanship, recommend innovative solutions, and maintain competitiveness.
Strictly control project costs to ensure designs are delivered within budget.
Regularly report project progress to management and participate in strategic design decisions for major projects.
Develop and mentor the design team to enhance overall creative and execution capabilities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architectural Design, or a related field.
5+ years of interior design experience, including at least 2 years of team management experience.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Photoshop.
Familiar with interior design processes, construction techniques, and material markets.
Excellent client communication and project coordination skills.
Possess creative thinking and aesthetic sense, along with a keen eye for cost and feasibility.
Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
