As a
Cost Control Engineer (Fixed Platform)
, you will be responsible for overseeing and compiling project cost estimates, monitoring expenditures, and preparing accurate forecasts and financial reports. You will play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency and supporting project success in the oil & gas sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost management execution plan
- Conduct cost analysis, reporting, and forecasting for CAPEX & OPEX
- Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
- Track and analyze committed costs (labor, equipment, materials)
- Coordinate with project teams to control and evaluate budget vs. actual expenditures
- Prepare and deliver monthly cost reports and dashboards to management
- Manage contractor invoices and ensure proper cost coding
- Support project managers in decision-making with accurate financial insights
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cost engineering (preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery projects)
- Proven experience in project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Detail-oriented, able to work in fast-paced environments
