Position Overview
The
Group Accountant
is responsible for managing and consolidating financial information across multiple business entities. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, analytical capability, and strategic financial insight to provide a comprehensive view of the group's financial performance and support management in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Consolidation & Reporting
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for all entities within the group.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (PSAK/IFRS) and internal reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and verify the accuracy and timeliness of subsidiary financial reports.
- Develop and maintain group-level financial reporting structures and dashboards.
Financial Analysis & Strategic Support
- Analyze group-wide financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across business units.
- Provide insight into capital allocation, profitability, and cost management.
Controls & Compliance
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls across all entities.
- Oversee audit processes and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
- Ensure tax and regulatory compliance across multiple industries.
Process & Systems Improvement
- Streamline accounting and reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Integrate and standardize financial systems or ERP tools across subsidiaries.
- Develop best practices and group-wide accounting policies.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with finance teams from each business unit to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Support management with financial insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and external partners when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of accounting or financial reporting experience, ideally in a group or holding company environment.
- Strong understanding of consolidation, PSAK/IFRS, and financial analysis.
- Experience managing finances across multiple industries is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect operational performance to group-level outcomes.
