Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef for a full-time, on-site position based in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The Executive Sous Chef will assist in managing daily kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include menu planning, monitoring inventory, supervising kitchen staff, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to innovate and optimize kitchen workflows. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating a positive and high-performing culinary team.
Qualifications
- Exceptional culinary skills, including expertise in cooking techniques, plating, and recipe development
- Proven experience in kitchen management, staff supervision, and efficient workflow organization
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and adherence to quality standards in food preparation
- Effective communication and leadership skills to foster teamwork and train staff
- Ability to manage inventory, maintain cost controls, and contribute to menu planning
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in a kitchen leadership role
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
