The Job
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical solutions, serving as a subject matter expert. Independently drive research initiatives and translate ambiguous, open-ended business objectives into structured, high-impact data science roadmaps.
- Lead the design and rigorous evaluation of statistical analyses and complex machine-learning algorithms to solve strategic business challenges.
- Architect, build, and deploy production-ready predictive models and machine-learning systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability in collaboration with Data Engineering and MLOps teams.
- Define and lead the implementation of LLM-based solutions (e.g., RAG, fine-tuning) for new business capabilities (e.g., advanced customer support, content generation, knowledge mining).
- Proactively identify complex data patterns, market trends, and hidden opportunities to optimize the business, creating and championing new strategic directions through advanced modelling.
- Propose, design, and champion data-driven solutions and strategies to executive and cross-functional stakeholders, translating complex technical insights into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Design and govern standardized data visualization techniques and reporting frameworks to ensure consistent, impactful communication of results across the organization.
- Own comprehensive technical documentation, including model methodology, production pipelines, deployment artifacts, and business impact analyses.
- Define new opportunities to significantly enhance business performance and product offerings through advanced machine learning and statistical modelling, driving projects from ideation to production.
- Lead the design and development of critical analytical projects focused on understanding and driving key business behaviors (e.g., customer acquisition, retention), independently managing project timelines and cross-functional dependencies.
- Develop, maintain, and own high-priority, client-facing, and executive-level analytics reports, ensuring data integrity and strategic relevance.
- Independently manage and lead the technical execution of major data science projects across marketing, non-marketing, and custom solutions, acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
Leadership & Strategic Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical leader and force multiplier for the Data Science function, driving best practices, mentorship, and business impact.
- Mentor and coach junior Data Scientists, fostering their technical growth, code quality, and business acumen.
- Define and implement team-wide best practices for modelling, testing, and production deployment (e.g., A/B testing design, model monitoring).
- Set the strategic direction for Generative AI and LLM adoption within the organization, including ethical guidelines, cost management, and model selection.
- Contribute to the data strategy by evaluating new technologies, methodologies, and data sources (e.g., Big Data technologies, advanced deep learning) for their potential business impact.
- Act as a key liaison between the Data Science team and senior business stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Engineering, Executive), managing expectations and driving the adoption of data science solutions.
- Supervise and lead by example in the drive to learn and master new technologies and research breakthroughs, setting a high standard for technical excellence, where we focus on marketing, non-marketing, and custom product development.
