About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafter to join our BD Plumbing Project Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of technical drawings — including as-built, shop drawings, and set-out plans — for plumbing systems in building development projects.
You will collaborate closely with estimators, project coordinators, and QA/QC engineers to deliver high-quality documentation that meets international standards for construction consultancy projects.
Key Responsibilities,
- Prepare, revise, and update plumbing drawings (sewer, stormwater, water supply, and sanitary systems) based on data from estimators, engineers, and coordinators.
- Create and verify as built, shop drawings, and take out plans according to project standards.
- Cross check architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure alignment and avoid clashes.
- Incorporate revisions and mark ups based on internal feedback or client instructions.
- Maintain compliance with internal documentation standards, templates, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all deliverables are error-free and submitted on time.
- Manage and organize project documentation (PDF, DWG, and set out data) using platforms such as Google Drive, ClickUp, or Simpro.
- Track and document all revisions systematically for version control and traceability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Building Design.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter in a Construction Consultancy or Management Construction Firm (not a field contractor).
- Proficient in Planswift (mandatory) with strong skills in layer management, coordinate systems, and annotative tools.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems (sanitary, sewer, stormwater, and water supply).
- High attention to detail, structured working style, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately.
- Familiar with QA/QC checklists and internal SOP compliance.
- Good communication skills and responsiveness in managing revisions via email or project management tools (e.g., ClickUp).
- (Preferred) Experience collaborating with international project.
