About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing and hands-on
Production Manager – General Assembly (GA)
to lead daily operations in the assembly shop of our electric vehicle plant. This role is critical in ensuring production targets are met with high quality, efficiency, and safety. You will oversee production teams, manage takt time and line balancing, and drive continuous improvement across assembly operations to support VinFast's fast-paced manufacturing goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Assembly Production Manager
  • In-depth understanding of assembly processes, take time, manpower planning, and equipment operations
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen, and quality control tools (e.g. PDCA, Root Cause Analysis)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing large production teams and working in high-volume environments
  • Proficient in production planning systems; SAPs
  • Fluent in English

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the General Assembly shop and ensure achievement of production targets
  • Ensure smooth coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment based on daily production plans
  • Monitor and control takt time, line balance, and productivity rates
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Lead problem-solving for any production line issues and ensure fast recovery to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support stable line operation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, cost, quality, and delivery (SQCD)
  • Train and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and operators
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on production performance and issues
