JOB SUMMARY
HR Manager - Head Office
is responsible to processing and manages HR operations across multiple hotel properties. This role drives the standardization of HR processes, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, and implements HR strategies that align with business goals. The position works closely with each property's HR team to maintain consistency, efficiency, and excellence in HR practices.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer and do end-to-end payroll processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant salary payments across all properties.
- Conduct regular salary benchmarking and internal equity reviews to maintain competitive and fair compensation structures.
- Manage employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, and other rewards), ensuring cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Review and approve all hiring, promotions, and contract extensions to ensure alignment with the approved manpower budget and compensation framework.
- Analyse compensation and benefits data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in total rewards strategy.
- Ensure compliance with tax (PPh21) regulations and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
- Communicate clearly with employees regarding payroll, benefits, and reward-related matters.
Policy & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian labour laws, company regulations, and corporate HR policies.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular HR compliance audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
Industrial Relations:
- Develop and implement proactive industrial relations strategies that support organizational goals and foster positive employee relations.
- Advise management on labour relations matters and ensure consistent application of policies.
- Lead collective bargaining and labour negotiations to achieve win-win agreements.
- Manage employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary cases through fair and transparent processes.
- Represent the company in labour-related hearings, mediations, or arbitration sessions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with labour unions (if any) and government labor authorities.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by superiors to support departmental or organizational goals.
Operational Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day HR operations across all hotel properties, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develop, implement, and monitor standardized HR policies, procedures, and best practices group wide.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR information systems (HRIS) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of employee records, both in hard copy and in the HR system.
- Analyse HR data to provide insights that support business and workforce planning decisions.
- Track, monitor, and report key HR metrics, including turnover, attendance, leave, and headcount data.
DNA (Qualifications & Attributes):
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Commerce, or Hospitality.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in an HR Manager role (preferably in hospitality).
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, payroll, compensation & benefits, and Indonesian labor law.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Excel; capable of data analysis and reporting.
- Familiar with payroll tax (PPh21) calculation and compliance.
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven leadership capability with a results-driven and collaborative approach.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
