Position Overview

Are you passionate about delivering accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reports? Meratus Group is seeking a meticulous
Accounting & Reporting Officer
who thrives on detail, audit precision, and collaborative improvement. You'll play a critical role in
monitoring account balances
,
validating transactions
, and
reconciling data
in accordance with PSAK and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile ledger and sub-ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor account group balances and validate reporting completeness
  • Conduct regular vouching and sampling to reduce material misstatements
  • Ensure matching concept is applied in cost and revenue recognition
  • Verify invoice journals for correct account and financial dimensions
  • Perform physical checks on cash, inventory, and assets to align with reporting
  • Support FS statutory control and monthly closing adjustments
  • Resolve outstanding reconciliation items within a 1-month timeframe
  • Collaborate with internal teams including FBC, Tax, and Legal for reporting integrity

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
  • Industry experience across Shipping, Maritime or Logistics would be highly regarded. If you have worked in operationally intensive industries like Retail, you are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong grasp of PSAK standards, basic tax, and Excel functionality
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to reporting accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to coordinate across departments
  • Analytical thinking and initiative in process evaluation and improvement
