Job Description
Implement sales distribution strategy activities to achieve target fulfillment, volume growth, distribution expansion, and product penetration. Develop market potential and maintain price stability in the area. Lead the recruitment and selection of distributors in new markets, evaluate and review distributor performance on a monthly basis, and arrange rolling forecasts.
- Lead and manage overall dealer sales operations across West Java, ensuring achievement of sales volume, market share, and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives and local market potential.
- Oversee dealer network performance, including sales achievement, stock management, marketing activities, and retail execution.
- Conduct regular dealer business reviews to identify opportunities, address challenges, and strengthen long‑term partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, competitor movements, and customer behavior to formulate effective sales action plans.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, after‑sales, and product teams to support promotions, product launches, and local activations.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to dealer sales teams to enhance performance and professionalism.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and recommendations to the Regional Manager and Head Office.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and maintain a strong brand image across all dealer networks in the region.
- Build, develop, and strengthen distribution infrastructure, defining clear sales targets (both value and volume) and monitoring sales performance.
- Expand distribution coverage by entering new geographies and new customer channels within the assigned area.
- Build strong partnerships with key customers and stakeholders, maintaining mutual collaboration with outlets such as medical/ drug stores, wholesalers, midwives, and general trade stores.
- Monitor and manage distributor relationships and their workforce, ensuring quality and compliance with the company’s sales system, processes, and ethical practices.
- Own and drive all key sales initiatives originated by the region and head office, ensuring trade or consumer programs are shared and implemented properly at each distributor branch.
- Manage all direct reports (DKT Sales Field Force) and distributor sales teams, setting sales targets, reviewing field team plans, and enhancing team capabilities through training and role play.
- Ensure stock adequacy for monthly promotions, maintain service‑level performance, and support new product launches through accurate sales forecasting.
- Conduct regular mentoring and coaching for area sales teams to share market insights and improve coverage performance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s Degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within the automotive, motorcycle, or related industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing dealer networks or multi‑branch sales operations.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive results in a competitive market.
- Excellent understanding of the automotive retail and distribution landscape in West Java (familiarity with Bandung and surrounding areas is preferred).
- Skilled in data‑driven decision making, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willing to travel frequently within West Java (holder of a valid SIM A is preferred).
- Target‑oriented, proactive, and adaptable to fast‑changing market conditions.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in area sales/commercial, especially in OTC/Pharmaceutical or FMCG sectors.
- Strong experience managing distributor branches and sales force teams.
- Result‑driven with the ability to identify problems, develop hypotheses, and propose solutions.
- Ability to build and lead a team, with a dynamic and agile personality.
- Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English & Bahasa.
- Willingness to be placed anywhere or relocate.
- Minimum 5 years working experience as Area Sales Manager in an FMCG company, preferably in bottled and packaged water (AMDK).
- Experience in the food service industry handling oil palm‑based products (cooking oil, margarine, shortening, etc).
- Good experience and knowledge of local distribution and food service in Bandung.
