Test Engineering Manager

PT. Duta Teknologi Kreatif is currently seeking a Test Engineering Manager with expertise in the required specifications, as outlined in the qualifications below.

About the Role: We are looking for a Test Engineering Manager to lead and scale our test engineering function. You will be responsible for defining the testing strategy, driving automation initiatives, ensuring product quality across all releases, and developing a high‑performing QA team. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the overall testing vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with engineering goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of test engineers and QA professionals, fostering a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers, Product, and DevOps to embed testing best practices across the SDLC.
Quality & Process
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics (e.g., defect escape rate, test coverage, automation percentage).
  • Implement robust test plans, test cases, and regression suites to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and faster feedback loops.
Automation & Tools
  • Drive test automation strategy across UI, API, and integration layers.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage test frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, Postman).
  • Ensure automation is scalable, maintainable, and provides meaningful ROI.
  • Work cross‑functionally with developers to ensure early detection and resolution of defects.
  • Communicate quality insights, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
People Development
  • Hire, coach, and develop high‑performing test engineers.
  • Build career paths, set performance goals, and promote skill development in automation, exploratory testing, and test architecture.
Requirements – Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in QA/Test Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building and managing test automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies (Agile, Scrum), and QA best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with test tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, JMeter).
  • Experience working with cloud‑based environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps processes, version control (Git), and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in scaling QA organizations in fast‑paced, product‑driven companies.
  • Background in performance testing, security testing, and test data management.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana) and quality gates in deployment pipelines.
Business Process Improvement

Responsibility:

  • Working with the Business Development and Strategy Manager to ensure that the work of the program, including the scope of each project, covers the necessary aspects required to deliver the products or services that will lead to operational benefits.
  • Working with the Business Development and Strategy Manager to identify projects that will contribute to realizing benefits and achieving outcomes.
  • Identifying, defining, and tracking the benefits and outcomes required of the program.
  • Ensuring that maximum improvements are made in existing and new business operations as groups of projects deliver their products into operational use.
  • Led the activities associated with benefits realization and ensuring that continued accrual of benefits can be achieved and measured after the program has been completed.
  • Establishing and implementing the mechanisms by which benefits can be delivered and measured.
  • Taking the lead on transition management, ensuring that business as usual is maintained during the transition and the changes are effectively integrated into the business.
  • Preparing affected business areas for transition to new ways of working.
  • Optimizing the timing of the release of project deliverables into business operations.
Requirements
  • Experienced in sales and distribution improvement.
  • Bachelor degree from any major.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Indonesia, English.
  • At least 1 Year(s) of working experience.
  • Required Skill(s): Strong Analytical Thinking, Communication, Partnership, Ms. Office, Ms. Visio, Reporting.
  • Good interpersonal skill.

  • Support engineering projects through planning, supervision and execution.

  • Has experience as a Duty Engineer or equivalent in a hotel.
  • Has a Diploma or Certificate in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical.
  • Has relevant experience with an International 5* Hotel Group.
  • Communicates with fluency in English (and the local language).
  • A motivator and a self‑starter.
