MATERIAL ENGINEER
(Dept. Design & Development)
Responsibilities:
- Review technical requirement
- Prepare written material specification
- Review raw material certificate
- Prepare calculation; Orifice calculation, WFC, bending stress calculation, etc
- Communicate with coworkers in purchasing, marketing, technical and scientific support, and manufacturing
- Work to fix issues that arise during production or with the final product, such as those brought on by normal wear and tear or a change in environment.
- Consider the financial implications of materials utilized and alternatives in terms of both time and money.
Qualifications :
Knowledge and Skill
Have good knowledge of the raw material frequently used in manufacturing industries and oil and natural gas as well as standard of ASTM, ASME, etc
- Understanding the piping system
Capable of reviewing technical drawings and datasheets (AutoCAD knowledge)
Education and Experience Background
Bachelor degree, preferably material engineering, mechanical engineering and physics
- Have at least 2 years of work experience in the enginering department preferably in a company engaged in business related to manufacturing DBB Valves for oil and gas industry
Have experience working in companies with ISO 9001 certification, API Q1, etc.
Others :
Having strong analytical and communication abilities
- Proficiency of both active and passive english
- Able to work under pressure and constraint lead time
- Have good interpersonal and can work together in teams
- Skilled with MS office especially Outlook, Excel and Word
- Have a strong desire to learn more
