  • Gaji yang diinginkan: Rp5,000,000 - Rp7,000,000 per bulan

As the Head Chef, you will lead Tenun's culinary development — from menu creation and kitchen setup to daily operations and team management. You'll design food that complements our coffee philosophy: refined yet approachable, rooted in tradition but made for today.

You'll collaborate closely with our founders and creative team to develop menus that evolve seasonally and reflect the Indonesian narrative we aim to tell.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a menu concept based on small Indonesian-style tapas and coffee pairings.
  • Lead and train the kitchen team to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  • Oversee food preparation, portioning, and kitchen workflow.
  • Collaborate with the bar team to create pairing menus and omakase-style experiences.
  • Manage kitchen costs, purchasing, and stock control efficiently.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Innovate new dishes for monthly or seasonal features and special events.
  • Work closely with the operations team to manage schedules, events, and private dining setups.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a café, restaurant, or casual fine dining.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian cuisine, local ingredients, and contemporary plating.
  • Passion for food storytelling and coffee pairing.
  • Skilled in team management, kitchen organization, and cost control.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
  • Based in Jakarta and able to work on-site full time.
