JOB SUMMARY

The PROJECT MANAGER (SR) is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex and high-impact projects. This role involves strategic planning, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet the project's objectives and deliverables. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with executive stakeholders to ensure all project goals are achieved and is accountable for the overall project performance. The incumbent will mentor more junior members of the project team and foster a collaborative environment, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders alike to ensure project goals are achieved.  This role is responsible for delivering one or more strategic/major projects to achieve the business objectives and streamline the associated changes across IT and operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

  • Lead the planning and implementation of complex, high-impact projects, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams and third parties/vendors to define, prioritize and achieve strategic objectives for the best-in-class execution of projects.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Monitor and track project progress and provide regular status updates to executive stakeholders.
  • Implement all possible strategies to deliver projects on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Perform comprehensive risk management to minimize project risks, including:
  • Identifying potential risks early in the project lifecycle.
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Continuously monitoring and assessing risks throughout the project.
  • Communicating risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Proactively addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Promote transparency by maintaining clear and open communication channels with all stakeholders.
  • Effective vendor management, ensuring that clear SOWs are agreed, and fair and transparent accountability is established for all agreed deliverables
  • Drive the projects through various types of testing, working closely with Test Managers and vendors to ensure a sense of urgency for defect turnaround and resolution, quality reporting and escalation.
  • Lead data-driven decision making by:
  • Collecting and analyzing project data to inform decisions.
  • Utilizing metrics and KPIs to track project performance.
  • Making adjustments based on data insights to optimize project outcomes.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and business to modify current business processes to match industry leading practices,
  • Serves as a point of escalation for Project Management concerns
  • Actively participate in project evaluations and assessment of results to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
