We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Controller to join our team in Jakarta. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate budgeting, effective cost monitoring, and timely reporting that supports successful project delivery.

General Responsibilities
  • Administration of project control and cost control activities.
  • Supporting individual projects and contributing to overall project control outcomes.
  • Planning, monitoring, and reporting the status of man-hours, indirect costs, and capital direct costs using Wave's cost management methodology, procedures, and systems.
  • Assisting in the day-to-day support of Project Management systems.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to prepare detailed project budgets, ensuring all cost elements are accurately estimated and accounted for.
  • Conduct regular cost forecasts to assess future spending needs and ensure alignment with expenditure mandates.
  • Assist in the implementation of standards and regulatory codes as appropriate to meet project requirements.
  • Apply project control systems and procedures to monitor cost progress and scope control.
  • Run reports to identify cost-saving opportunities, including analysis of design changes, time, resource, and cost implications.
  • Maintain Project Management System applications, including timesheet entry, weekly reports, and client requirements.
  • Develop work and cost breakdown structures for projects and studies.
  • Enter and maintain budgets and forecasts for projects and studies.
  • Implement change control processes for studies and projects.
  • Prepare cost reports showing approved budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, paid-to-date, and outstanding amounts.
  • Prepare man-hours and expenditure reports
  • Liaise with procurement and contracts teams to provide budget allocations for work packages.
  • Reconcile progress invoices, process data entry, prepare progress payment certificates, and update commitments as required.
  • Initiate variance reports on costs, time, and resources, resolving issues or escalating to Project Managers when necessary.

Key Skills

Mandatory

  • Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
  • Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex information.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Good working knowledge of Contruent (PRISMG2) or other cost management system.
  • Familiarity with Power BI.
  • Ability to quickly learn specialist software (BST).
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • High-level numeracy skills.

Desirable

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ProjectWise or other EDMS software
