Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze working drawings, technical specifications related to container projects.
- Compile calculations for material, labor, equipment, and support service costs.
- Prepare cost estimates and project estimates for container projects.
- Coordinate with the engineering, purchasing, and production teams regarding material requirements and actual costs.
- Compare cost estimates with project realizations for evaluation and improvement of future calculations.
- Ensuring all estimates comply with company standards and meet profit margin targets.
- Providing technical input and cost analysis in the negotiation process with vendors and clients.
- Preparing periodic project cost estimate reports for management.
- Supporting the project team in technical and administrative matters related to costs and work changes (variation orders).
- Conducting the procurement process for materials, spare parts, and container equipment according to project requirements.
- Negotiating prices, quality, and delivery times with suppliers/vendors
Requirements:
- Minimum education of D3/S1 in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience as an estimator, preferably in the container, fabrication, or construction industry.
- Understanding of technical drawings, material specifications, and container fabrication processes.
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and effective communication skills.
