About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various building projects. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that MEP systems are integrated smoothly, meet applicable codes, and are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Design and review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Coordinate MEP design with architectural and structural elements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for MEP installations.
- Ensure MEP systems comply with local regulations, standards, and codes.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Review and approve MEP shop drawings and materials submitted by contractors.
- Perform site inspections and monitor MEP installation works.
- Identify and troubleshoot problems related to MEP systems during construction and post-construction phases.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
- 2+ years of experience in MEP design and construction.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and services (HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, water supply, etc.).
- Proficient in English communication (written and verbal) to interact effectively in a professional environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
