Responsibilities:

  • Assist Pastry Chefs in the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen.
  • Prepare ingredients (mise en place) for various desserts, cakes, and pastries.
  • Assist in the production of basic pastry components and dessert plating.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Entry-level position; some prior kitchen experience or culinary schooling is preferred.
  • A strong interest in and passion for pastry and baking.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior chefs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a good team player.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene.
  • Must be reliable and hardworking.
