Position Overview

We are looking for a Collection Data Administration Intern to support our Finance and Collection teams in managing, tracking, and analyzing collection and payment data. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, data management, and administrative coordination within a dynamic business environment.

As an intern, you will play an essential role in ensuring that data related to customer payments, collections, and reports are accurate, complete, and up-to-date. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support both daily operational needs and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Management

● Update, verify, and maintain collection and payment tracking databases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

● Input and validate payment allocation data received from various sources such as accounting systems, bank statements, and internal reports.

● Assist in maintaining structured and well-organized data repositories for collection tracking and reconciliation.

● Support in preparing weekly and monthly data summaries for internal reporting and performance monitoring.

● Conduct basic data analysis to identify discrepancies or anomalies in collection records.

2. Administrative & Operational Support

● Prepare and organize payment reminder lists, follow-up schedules, and communication templates for collection activities.

● Assist in processing payment confirmations, updating collection status, and ensuring reconciliation between payment data and internal systems.

● Help maintain comprehensive documentation of all collection-related activities, including correspondence and supporting evidence.

● Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of daily collection operations.

● Provide administrative support for the team, such as managing digital files, scheduling meetings, and preparing basic operational reports.

3. Reporting Support

● Gather and compile raw data from multiple systems and departments to support financial and performance report preparation.

● Assist in cleaning, formatting, and organizing data for use in dashboards and management presentations.

● Ensure consistency, accuracy, and traceability of data used for reporting purposes.

● Support in building simple Excel or Google Sheets dashboards for visualizing collection trends and payment performance.

4. Cross-Team Coordination

● Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Customer Service teams to obtain necessary updates and documentation.

● Communicate effectively to clarify data requirements and resolve any inconsistencies.

● Support other administrative or project-based tasks related to collection operations as needed.

Requirements

● Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.

● Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.

● Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning techniques.

● Good analytical thinking and basic understanding of data validation and reconciliation processes.

● Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

● Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks or deadlines simultaneously.

● Familiarity with financial or payment collection operations is an advantage.

● Previous internship or work experience related to collection data administration is highly preferred.
