Responsibilities:

  • Implement sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed sales targets (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in export markets for the company's flavoring compounds and cigarette filter rods
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings in target export markets, using these insights to guide sales strategy and marketing efforts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international markets, focusing on potential tobacco product manufacturers in target countries, to drive business expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with export customers (primarily tobacco product manufacturers and their distributors), ensuring high customer satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships
  • Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, pricing, and terms (including payment and delivery terms) within company guidelines, ensuring agreements are beneficial and comply with all relevant regulations
  • Coordinate with the production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure export orders are produced on schedule, shipped on time, and that invoicing and payments are handled correctly.
  • Ensure all export products meet regulatory requirements and obtain necessary certifications (e.g. BPOM approvals, SNI compliance, export permits) prior to shipment.
  • Prepare and manage all export documentation (such as commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, Certificates of Origin) with accuracy, and oversee excise duty handling for tobacco-related shipments to ensure compliance and smooth customs clearance.
  • Prepare regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and market analyses for management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field. (Educational background in Food Science or Chemical Engineering is a plus.)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or export marketing (B2B), preferably in the tobacco, flavor additives, or related industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding customer base in international (export) markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to effectively engage international clients and close deals.
  • In-depth understanding of the company's flavoring and filter rod products and their applications in the tobacco industry, enabling effective responses to client requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of export procedures, international trade documentation, and regulatory requirements (e.g., customs processes, Incoterms, BPOM, SNI, excise duties) to ensure smooth cross-border transactions
  • Solid analytical skills and a proactive mindset to identify market trends and business opportunities for growth
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-oriented approach to handle client inquiries or issues effectively.
  • Basic proficiency in English (written and spoken) is an advantage.
