Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Sales Engineer role located in Grogol Petamburan. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, communicating products and prices effectively, achieving sales targets, and maintaining excellent customer service. The Sales Engineer will report directly to the Sales Manager.
Day-to-day Activities
- Identifying and targeting potential clients through market research and industry networking.
- Meeting with clients to understand their needs and requirements, and presenting solutions and proposals based on those needs.
- Working with various teams to ensure that the company's products are included on approved brand lists for as many relevant projects and clients as possible.
- Providing technical support and expertise to clients, including answering questions about product specifications and performance, and assisting with the selection of appropriate valves and related products.
- Collaborating with other team members and engineering departments to ensure that client orders are processed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and interactions with clients
- Preparing and presenting sales reports and forecasts to management.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on industry trends and advances.
Requirements
- Max. 35 years old
- Bachelor's Degree in any major (preferably engineering, mechanical or related field)
- Min. 2 years experience as a sales engineer related to Oil & Gas/Mining/Smelter/Palm Oil/Petrochemical
- Strong technical knowledge of valves and related products, including various types of valves (e.g. ball, butterfly, gate) and their applications in various industries (e.g. oil and gas, power generation, water treatment).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, and to communicate technical information to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets, as well as work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for business as needed.
- Working knowledge and experience with SAP will be a plus point.
