Job Summary:
The Merchandiser is responsible for planning, selecting, and managing the product assortment for the Indonesia market. This role ensures the right products, quantities, and pricing strategies are aligned with customer demand and market trends to drive sales performance and brand growth. The role also oversees end-to-end shipping coordination for Indonesia—managing import documentation, tracking shipment timelines, and ensuring smooth customs clearance and receiving processes to support timely product availability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop seasonal assortment plans and product strategies tailored for the Indonesia market.
Analyse sales trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to optimise product mix and assortment.
Coordinate with HQ on buying cycles, product launches, and replenishment planning.
Monitor inventory levels across stores, counters, and online channels to ensure healthy sell-through.
Plan and execute replenishment, allocation, and stock transfers to maximise sales and minimise ageing inventory.
Review slow-moving and top-performing items to improve SKU productivity and category growth.
Propose pricing strategies based on market standards, currency movements, and competitive benchmarking.
Collaborate with Marketing, Retail Operations, and Visual Merchandising on campaigns, promotions, and markdown activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales, stock, and sell-through reports with actionable recommendations.
Coordinate with HQ, suppliers, and logistics partners on all import shipments into Indonesia.
Prepare and verify import documentation to ensure compliance with Indonesia customs regulations.
Track shipment timelines, liaise with freight forwarders, and resolve customs clearance issues to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure accurate receiving, stock-in, labelling, and system updates at the warehouse/distribution centre.
Review freight costs, import duties, and related expenses for budgeting and cost accuracy.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related fields.
Minimum 2–4 years experience in merchandising, buying, or category management (retail/fashion industry preferred).
Experience in import/export coordination or working with logistics/shipping stakeholders is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and sales/inventory analysis.
Good understanding of Indonesia retail market and consumer trends.
Strong communication and coordination skills across departments and with external partners.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines &multitask in a fast-paced environment.
