Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an R&D Chef located in Jatibaru, Central Jakarta. The R&D Chef will be responsible for developing new recipes, improving existing products, and ensuring high-quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include experimenting with new ingredients, conducting taste tests, documenting recipes, collaborating with the production team, and staying updated on food industry trends.
Qualifications
- Excellent creativity and innovation skills
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and understanding of cooking techniques
- Proficient in both modern and classical culinary techniques (Western, Asian, and Indonesian cuisines).
- Creative, innovative, and sensitive to F&B trends, with strong skills in menu presentation and plating
- Skilled in food costing, portion control, and food safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and detail-oriented mindset.
- Able to collaborate effectively across departments (Operations, Central Kitchen, Marketing, Training, and Supply Chain).
- Prior experience in a similar role in the food industry is a plus
- Adaptive to feedback and quick in iterating recipes.
