Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Site Manager, located on‑site in Surabaya. The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing day‑to‑day project activities to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and quality project delivery. Duties include supervising site operations, coordinating with contractors and team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and resolving on‑site issues as they arise. Collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders will be integral to the role.
Qualifications- Site Management, Construction Supervision, and Project Coordination skills
- Knowledge of Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance standards in construction
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team coordination abilities
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and time management
- Familiarity with on‑site tools, equipment, and construction methodologies
- Proficiency in using project management and technical software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project)
- Prior experience managing mid‑to‑large‑scale construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred
- Plan and oversee project site construction progress, personnel deployment, construction quality, and safety supervision.
- Coordinate construction site workers across trades (masons, carpenters, welders, etc.).
- Follow up on project progress to ensure adherence to construction drawings.
- Record daily construction logs and report on site conditions.
- Communicate with the project manager, materials handler, and designers.
- Ensure site safety and that workers wear appropriate protective equipment (APD).
- Control material usage to prevent waste.
- Assist with additional construction tasks such as steel structure installation and glass/aluminum assembly.
- Lead and coordinate a supervision team for civil works under a FIDIC Red or Pink book contract.
- Review, approve and coordinate design documents, drawings, and calculations for irrigation, dam, or other water resources projects.
- Perform quality control inspections, laboratory testing supervision, and safety control reviews.
- Manage contract documentation, including Interim Payment Applications, as‑built drawings, and contractor claims.
- Ensure proper records are kept for progress reporting and completion reports.
- Experience working internationally, outside Indonesia.
- University graduate in irrigation or civil engineering.
- Significant years working experience in planning, design, and construction supervision of irrigation, dam, or other water resources development projects.
- Experience in the supervision of FIDIC red or pink book contracts.
- At least 1 year experience as a professional engineer on an irrigation project in Indonesia (preferred).
- Technical level Indonesian language for meetings.
- Experience working on projects funded by multilateral or bilateral donors.
- High school degree or above (architecture major preferred) for internship roles.
- High school degree or above; architecture major preferred.
- At least 3 years of project construction or site management experience.
- Familiarity with construction drawings and basic construction processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to project assignments and live in on‑site dormitories.
- Transportation and food allowance provided.
- Accommodation provided during assignment.
- Contribution to BPJS Health and Employment Insurance.
- Provision of uniforms and APD.
- Additional performance bonus upon project completion.
