Responsibility :
- Conducting routine fire safety inspections and drills to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Responding promptly and effectively to any emergency situations, including fire outbreaks, accidents, and other incidents
- Providing first-aid assistance and coordinating with emergency services as needed
- Maintaining and testing fire suppression equipment, such as extinguishers, alarms, and sprinkler systems
- Delivering safety training and awareness programs to employees to promote a strong safety culture
- Documenting and reporting all safety-related incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions taken
- Collaborating with the broader HSE team to continuously improve safety policies and procedures
- Manage and supervise firefighters in their performance of duties
- Complete other routine duties assigned by the department
Requirement :
- Relevant certifications in firefighting, first aid, and/or emergency response (Fireman Class B)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the Mining, Resources & Energy industry
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and remain calm in emergency situations
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace
- Proficient in English communication
- Computer proficiency with office software and CAD software
- Familiarity with automated fire control systems, experience in fire pump station management, and the ability to independently troubleshoot system issues
