Our client, operates in the heavy equipment and construction machinery industry, is currently looking for an Operation Manager to oversee and coordinate the operations of multiple companies within the Group. You will work closely with company managers and department heads in ensuring the operational efficiency, alignment with the Group's objectives, and continuous improvement across all business units.

Placement: Papua New Guinea

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support operations across all Group companies, ensuring smooth day-to-day performance.
  • Develop and implement SOPs, driving consistency and efficiency throughout the Group.
  • Monitor company performance against KPIs, budgets, and strategic goals; report to the CEO with insights.
  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Support execution of strategic plans, business development, and cross-company projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide managers, fostering accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and oversee risk, health, and safety standards.
  • Act as liaison between CEO and operations, ensuring effective communication and timely updates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master's preferred). Fluent in English.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years' experience in operations management, preferably across multiple companies or business units.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Strong background in strategy execution, process improvement, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with compliance, governance, and risk management practices
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • High level of business acumen with strong financial understanding.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
