Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and build relationships with local and overseas suppliers, especially those in Mandarin-speaking regions.
  • Negotiation: Conduct negotiations to achieve the best prices, terms, and quality for goods and services.
  • Order Processing: Create and manage purchase orders (POs), monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely arrival of goods.
  • Logistics and Import/Export: Coordinate with logistics and customs departments for clearance, prepare shipping documents, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate purchasing records, update supplier databases, and prepare regular reports on procurement activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal departments like warehouse, logistics, finance, and production to align purchasing with operational needs.
  • Communication: Provide translation and communication support in Mandarin for meetings, contracts, and negotiations with suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field like Supply Chain or Business Administration will be a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Mandarin is essential.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations is often required.
  • Experience with procurement systems like SAP can be beneficial.
