Position: Sous Chef (Pastry)
Responsibilities- Assist the Pastry Chef in managing the daily operations of the pastry and bakery kitchen.
- Supervise the preparation and production of all pastry, dessert, and bakery items.
- Develop new and creative dessert menus and recipes.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage inventory, ordering of supplies, and control food costs for the pastry section.
- At least 5 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Expertise in creating a wide range of pastries, desserts, chocolates, and baked goods.
- Strong artistic and creative skills in pastry decoration and presentation.
- Good leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience in a 5-star hotel or high-end pastry operation is essential.
- A culinary diploma specializing in pastry is highly desirable.
