Job Purpose: To support the sales team in promoting and selling forklifts and related material handling equipment. The Junior Forklift Sales Representative will assist in identifying potential clients, managing customer relationships, and helping to close sales deals while gaining experience in the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and field visits.
- Support senior sales team in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and site visits with supervision.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide basic product information.
- Research potential customers and market trends in the material handling industry.
- Maintain and update customer database (CRM systems).
- Follow up on sales leads and maintain communication with prospects.
- Learn the specifications, features, and benefits of forklifts and other company offerings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and competitor activities.
- Assist in preparing sales reports and documentation.
- Handle basic after‑sales service coordination with the service department.
- Ensure proper documentation for orders, deliveries, and follow‑ups.
- Build strong relationships with existing and potential clients and maintain regular communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the sales and technical team to ensure customer requirements are met, including participating in team meetings, training sessions, and product briefings.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of sales or customer service experience (preferably in industrial equipment or machinery).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and customer engagement.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical sales environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
