Responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with relevant government agencies, regulators, and maritime authorities to ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations. This role also supports the company’s strategic objectives by facilitating permits, licenses, and government approvals, while proactively monitoring regulatory changes affecting the shipping tanker industry.
Main Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain relation and partnership with government institutions such as Ministry of Transportation
- Represent the company in meetings, hearings, and official functions with government agencies and industry associations.
- Facilitate communication and negotiations between the company and government stakeholders.
- Ensure all company operations comply with applicable Indonesian laws, IMO standards, and other maritime regulations.
- Responsible to oversee crew permit, provide any assistance necessary for any crewing matters within Government Relation Area.
- Coordinate with internal departments to process necessary government permits (Vessel registration).
- Ensure timely renewal of licenses and compliance related documents.
- Provide advices for management about maritime policies and regulations that support the tanker shipping sector.
- Provide regulatory guidance and government related advice for company projects.
- Bachelor’s degree from Public Communication, Law, Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, or any applicable majors.
- Min 7-10 years of solid experience in government relations, public affairs, or corporate relations, preferably talent from maritime, shipping, oil & gas, or logistics industry.
- Solid track record of dealing with Indonesian maritime authorities and other relevant government agencies.
- Strong understanding of maritime laws / shipping regulations, and government administrative processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills and ability to interpret regulatory documents.
- Able to maintain high-integrity / ethical conduct.
