Operation & Monitoring
Operate WWTP equipment (pumps, blowers, screens, clarifiers, aerators, chemical dosing systems, etc.) according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor flow rates, water levels, chemical dosing, and other key operational parameters.
Record daily plant operational data and report any abnormalities.
Water Quality Control
Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory analysis (pH, COD, BOD, TSS, turbidity, etc.).
- Adjust process settings and chemical dosing based on test results.
Ensure treated water consistently meets regulatory and company standards.
Maintenance Support
Perform basic preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspection).
- Report equipment malfunctions or potential failures to the maintenance team.
Assist during corrective maintenance and plant shutdown/start-up activities.
Safety & Compliance
Operate the plant in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
- Use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.
Report safety incidents, near misses, and environmental issues immediately.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate daily operation logs, checklists, and incident records.
- Submit regular operational reports to the supervisor.
- Support audits and inspections by internal teams or regulatory authorities.
Qualification
- Minimum High School / Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- POPAL (Pengoperasian Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah) Certification from BNSP is mandatory.
- Preferably 1–2 years of experience in WWTP operation (fresh graduates may be considered with training).
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
- Ability to perform simple laboratory tests and interpret results.
- Willingness to work shifts (day/night).
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
