Job descibtion

  • Operation & Monitoring

  • Operate WWTP equipment (pumps, blowers, screens, clarifiers, aerators, chemical dosing systems, etc.) according to standard operating procedures.

  • Monitor flow rates, water levels, chemical dosing, and other key operational parameters.
  • Record daily plant operational data and report any abnormalities.

  • Water Quality Control

  • Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory analysis (pH, COD, BOD, TSS, turbidity, etc.).

  • Adjust process settings and chemical dosing based on test results.
  • Ensure treated water consistently meets regulatory and company standards.

  • Maintenance Support

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspection).

  • Report equipment malfunctions or potential failures to the maintenance team.
  • Assist during corrective maintenance and plant shutdown/start-up activities.

  • Safety & Compliance

  • Operate the plant in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.

  • Use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.
  • Report safety incidents, near misses, and environmental issues immediately.

  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate daily operation logs, checklists, and incident records.

  • Submit regular operational reports to the supervisor.
  • Support audits and inspections by internal teams or regulatory authorities.

Qualification

  • Minimum High School / Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • POPAL (Pengoperasian Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah) Certification from BNSP is mandatory.
  • Preferably 1–2 years of experience in WWTP operation (fresh graduates may be considered with training).
  • Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
  • Ability to perform simple laboratory tests and interpret results.
  • Willingness to work shifts (day/night).
  • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
