About the job

Site Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production and utility equipment within the manufacturing site. This role is critical in supporting continuous production, minimizing downtime, and enabling sustainable operations. It includes achieving and maintaining the OEE target, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained, spare parts are readily available, and all legal and regulatory permits are in place.

Key responsibilities include

Engineering & Maintenance

  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Implement preventive/predictive maintenance and achieve OEE and cost targets (TFC & DFC).
  • Align maintenance planning with production schedules for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate equipment history and procedures in Maximo.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and certified execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation.
  • Use Maximo and PowerBI to improve planning, scheduling, purchasing, and reporting.

Energy Management

  • Monitor and analyze energy usage (electricity, gas, water).
  • Drive energy-saving initiatives and report performance to regional/global teams.
  • Promote energy awareness and collaborate with SHE and engineering teams.

Project Management

  • Lead local improvement projects (safety, efficiency, cost-saving).
  • Prepare proposals, manage execution, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Team Development

  • Enhance team skills and technical knowledge.
  • Plan succession and empower internal talent growth.

About you

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years in engineering and maintenance management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of energy management and sustainability practices.

  • Proven experience in project management and execution.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) and maintenance planning tools.
  • Knowledge of food industry manufacturing processes and engineering requirements.
  • Ability to conduct and lead repair, preventive, predictive, and design-out maintenance activities.
  • Skilled in root cause failure analysis and investigation.
  • Thorough understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Systems & Tools:

  • Competent in using Maximo and PowerBI for planning, scheduling, purchasing, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of stores and parts management practices to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Commitment to team development and succession planning.
