Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing sales, market trends, and historical data.

Lead the monthly demand planning process and participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings.

Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans as needed to meet business objectives.

Purchasing and Procurement

Manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Oversee the purchasing department, including managing staff and maintaining compliance and risk management protocols.

Conduct price and quality analysis to ensure the best value is obtained.

Inventory Management

Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand without excess stock.

Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Provide input for new product introductions and product phase-outs.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align on forecasts and strategies.

Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and purchasing.

Strategy and Management

Develop and implement strategies to improve both demand planning and purchasing processes.

Oversee the performance of the planning and purchasing teams, providing training and guidance.

Contribute to strategic decisions affecting the supply chain and budget.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like supply chain management, operations, or business analytics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency with forecasting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and purchasing practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in a managerial role is often required.
