About The Role :
As an Interior Designer at Atelli Furniture Interior, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional living and working spaces that reflect our clients' unique styles and needs. Based in our Central Jakarta office, you will work collaboratively with our team to design innovative and functional interiors that exceed our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Consultation : Meet with clients to understand their goals, style preferences, functional needs and budget for the project.
Design Concept Development : Create preliminary design concepts, sketches, mood boards and 3D visualizations to present to the client.
Space Planning : Determine space requirements plan room layouts and ensure efficient use of space.
Material and Furnishing Selection : Choose and specify materials, furniture, lighting, color schemes, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures.
Technical Documentation : Prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, and specifications using design software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.
Budget Management : Estimate project costs, set budgets, and source materials and services within those constraints.
Project Management : Create timelines, order materials, oversee installation and coordinate with general contractors, architects and other tradespeople.
Compliance : Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
Site Visits : Visit project sites after completion to ensure client satisfaction and address any final details.
Required skills :
Creativity and Artistic Vision : A strong eye for design, color and aesthetics.
Technical Expertise : Proficiency in design software ( AutoCAD, SketchUP)
Communication and Presentation : Ability to effectively communicate ideas to clients and present design concepts.
Project Management : Skills in managing timelines, budgets, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of Codes : Familiarity with building codes, regulations and safety standards.
Educational Qualifications :
Formal Education :
A bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field like fine arts, architecture or interior architecture is the most common pathway to becoming an interior designer. Associate's and master's degrees programs are also available.
High School Foundation :
While not strictly mandatory, studying subjects like fine arts, mathematics (Algebra and geometry) communication design, and computer – aided design (CAD) in high school can provide a strong foundation.
Essential Skills
Technical Skills :
Profiency in computer -aided design (CAD) software is a must, as is strong technical knowledge in areas like model – making.
Artistic and Creative Skills : Excellent drawing skills, including perspective drawing, along with strong spatial awareness of building and safety regulations, project management skills, and negotiation abilities are also important.
Practical Experience and Portfolio:
Gain Experience : Practical experience is invaluable, internships or even part-time work in a design firm can provide hands-on understanding of the industry.
Develop a Portfolio : A strong and varied portfolio is essential. It demonstrates your unique style and artistic ability, helping to showcase your potential to employers and clients.
