About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Economics Teacher to join our dynamic team at YPK Buah Hati. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Economics lessons to students in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) at our school located in Surabaya, East Java.
What you'll be doing
- Plan and deliver stimulating Economics lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of MYP students
- Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to foster students' understanding and application of economics and business management concepts
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Economics and also the Business Management programme
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Contribute to the overall development and wellbeing of students through pastoral care and extracurricular activities
What we're looking for
- A Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme
- Excellent knowledge of the IB MYP curriculum and assessment strategies
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to students' individual learning styles and needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for education and a commitment to nurturing students' academic and personal growth
