DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the functions of Accounts Receivable which includes timely billing and collections, disputes management and reporting function.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to drive process improvements.
- Identify system / process misalignments to drive standardization and improvement, raise request and follow-through closure with system support.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop team members on their daily work performance to ensure KPIs are met.
- Manage Collection's team (Agency & SSC) by setting targets and monitoring KPI's accordingly
- Monitor DSO and overdue ratio as per KPI setup
- Monitor subordinate collection process (both local and SSC collectors)
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Follow collection procedures and ensure timely collection as per agreed terms (cash / credit)
- Liaise with inter-related department to support the timely collection
- Review credit application as per guideline
- Monitor credit term given is respected
- Prepare and analyze weekly & monthly AR financial report
- Liaise with Remittance's team (Agency & GBS) to decrease level of unapplied and unreconciled items
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (GM, CCO, CFO and Regional Office) to suggest "on hold" and corrective actions against reluctant customers
- Conduct weekly AR collection meeting with stakeholders (GM/CCO/CFO/SSC/Other internal department) to address any concerns and set up improvement plans
- Join any adhoc meeting with customers & commercial
- Liaise with Regional Office / Head Office for any related Accounts Receivable & collection matters
- Any other assignments as and when assigned by direct superior or Management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Level of Qualification:
- Min. 5 years professional experience in multinational companies, preferably in the shipping / logistics industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent with 4 years of work experience in AR collection process and leading a team
Professional Skills:
- English fluency
- Excellent presentation
- SAP experience desirable, familiarity with IT systems and issues

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
