Responsibilities :

  • Assist in planning and executing internal audit activities in alignment with the yearly audit plan.
  • Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed audit workpapers and reports summarizing findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support in identifying risks, proposing controls, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review operational and financial processes to enhance efficiency and minimize risk exposure.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure adherence to established policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring corrective action plans to resolve issues identified during audits.
  • Stay updated with relevant regulatory changes and incorporate them into audit practices.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify anomalies or trends indicative of risk.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior audit staff.

Education & Certifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CRMA are a plus.
  • Familiarity with CPA, CA, or ACCA certifications (preferred but not required).

Experience :

  • Minimum of 3 years of internal audit or related experience in a reputable organization.
  • Prior experience in a retail or consumer-facing industry (preferred).
  • Exposure to working with or within a consulting firm is advantageous.

Technical & Analytical Skills :

  • Good knowledge of financial and operational auditing principles.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools or software, such as Excel, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills :

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
