The Junior Technical Trainer is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of technical training programs for technicians, mechanics, and service personnel within the heavy-duty industry. This role focuses on ensuring that all technical staff are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and trucks according to manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and conducting technical training sessions covering product knowledge, maintenance procedures, diagnostic techniques, and repair standards.
- Support senior trainers in developing training materials such as manuals, presentations, videos, and assessment tools.
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations on heavy-duty vehicles, components, and systems.
- Evaluate participants' performance and provide feedback to enhance skill development.
- Coordinate training schedules, facilities, and logistics for both internal and dealer technicians.
- Stay updated on new technologies, product updates, and service bulletins to ensure training content remains current.
- Support technical documentation and report preparation related to training outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Service, Parts, and Product Support teams to identify training needs and skill gaps.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a technical or training role, preferably in heavy-duty truck or machinery industry.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in heavy-duty equipment.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and service software.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- English communication skill is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with product training programs from heavy equipment or truck manufacturers.
- Basic knowledge of training methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Willingness to travel to branch offices, customer sites, or training centers.
Work Environment:
- Combination of classroom and workshop (hands-on) training.
- Close coordination with Service, Product Support, and Technical teams.
