About the role
We are seeking an experienced Chinese translator to join our dynamic team at PT.Metal Furniture Trading'. This full-time role will be based in our West Jakarta, Jakarta office and will play a crucial part in facilitating communication and collaboration between our Indonesian and Chinese business operations.
What you'll be doing
- Provide accurate and timely translations of documents, emails, and other materials between Chinese and English/Indonesian languages
- Interpret in meetings and telephone conversations to enable effective communication with Chinese stakeholders
- Assist with the localisation of marketing and promotional materials for the Chinese market
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Chinese suppliers and partners
- Support the broader administrative and office duties as required
What we're looking for
- Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English/Indonesian
- Minimum 3 years of professional translation experience, ideally in a commercial environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in translations
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Familiarity with common translation software and technologies
