Responsibilities
  • Handle end‑to‑end Accounts Payable tasks including invoice verification, petty cash and staff claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth AP operations.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure that all outstanding payments are accurate.
  • Work closely with credit card holders to reconcile monthly credit card statements and complete related approvals.
  • Answer vendor inquiries and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Prepare and monitor weekly and monthly AP reports: bank reconciliation, AP aging and balance‑sheet accounts.
  • Assist with month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalated issue resolution, internal inquiries, and vendor disputes.
  • Provide daily support and mentorship to junior AP staff.
  • Provide treasury support for cash‑flow forecast.
  • Manage escalation point on Open PO, GRIR and resolve long outstanding items.
  • Key contact to resolve any invoice or payment discrepancy issue with external parties (vendor) and business operations.
  • Key person to deal with any audit issue related to the Accounts Payable function including external audit, regulatory bodies or internal audit team.
  • Perform other ad‑hoc duties that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements to enhance finance operations and strengthen controls.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Candidate must possess at least an Advanced Diploma in Accounting/Business Administration/Commerce or be working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, MICPA or CIMA.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Confidence and initiative when working with experienced stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in procure‑to‑pay in a shared‑service environment.
  • Possess SAP and Excel skills; additional advantage if acquiring.
