Role Overview
General Manager Construction will oversee the end-to-end execution of all construction activities, aligning with the company's long-term strategic goals and development targets. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, contract management, and stakeholder leadership in a multi-site, industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle planning and delivery of construction projects across a 500+ Ha industrial estate.
- Develop and manage execution strategies, construction methodologies, schedules, and project resources.
- Oversee all field operations including design compliance, QA/QC systems, and contractor performance.
- Resolve on-site issues swiftly to ensure continuous progress and quality delivery.
- Manage contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders, authorities, and external partners.
- Lead and develop site managers and construction teams to build a high-performance culture.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Master's degree is a plus.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in large-scale construction, with at least 5 years in a senior or GM capacity.
- Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure or industrial development projects of 500 Ha or more.
- Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and site infrastructure construction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and relevant project management tools.
- Deep understanding of local regulations, permitting processes, and safety compliance.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to maintain high visibility on-site and with key stakeholders.
