CHIS Denpasar is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher (Native Speaker) to join our dynamic and multicultural teaching team. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator who can inspire students to develop strong English communication skills while fostering a love for learning in a bilingual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons in accordance with CHIS curriculum standards.
- Develop lesson materials that promote active learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Encourage and support students in improving their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom atmosphere.
- Assess and monitor students' academic progress through formative and summative evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain regular communication with parents when necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and department heads to enhance the English curriculum.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
- Support extracurricular activities such as English clubs, drama, or debate programs.
- Uphold the values and educational philosophy of CHIS in daily practice.
Essential Requirements:
- Native English speaker.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Possess a TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to students with different learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
- A positive, professional, and collaborative attitude.
Preferred:
- Experience with Pearson or international curriculum programs.
- Experience teaching non-native English speakers.
- Skilled in using technology and interactive learning tools in the classroom.
- Willing to live in Bali (Denpasar area) for a long-term period.
- Eligible for a valid Indonesian work visa.
- Open-minded, culturally sensitive, and respectful toward local Balinese and Indonesian culture.
