CHIS Denpasar is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher (Native Speaker) to join our dynamic and multicultural teaching team. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator who can inspire students to develop strong English communication skills while fostering a love for learning in a bilingual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons in accordance with CHIS curriculum standards.
  • Develop lesson materials that promote active learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Encourage and support students in improving their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom atmosphere.
  • Assess and monitor students' academic progress through formative and summative evaluations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain regular communication with parents when necessary.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and department heads to enhance the English curriculum.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as English clubs, drama, or debate programs.
  • Uphold the values and educational philosophy of CHIS in daily practice.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Native English speaker.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Possess a TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to students with different learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
  • A positive, professional, and collaborative attitude.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Pearson or international curriculum programs.
  • Experience teaching non-native English speakers.
  • Skilled in using technology and interactive learning tools in the classroom.
Other Requirements
  • Willing to live in Bali (Denpasar area) for a long-term period.
  • Eligible for a valid Indonesian work visa.
  • Open-minded, culturally sensitive, and respectful toward local Balinese and Indonesian culture.
  • Passionate about contributing to the CHIS community and its development.
