About the role
Marvell City' is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a member of our Accounting department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's overall financial reporting processes. This is a contract position based in our Surabaya, East Java office.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and process all account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring all financial statements and reporting are completed accurately and on schedule
- Collaborate with the broader finance team to provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and internal controls
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar financial accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or technology industry
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to work accurately with numerical data
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
