About the role
As a Sales Engineer (Oleochemical Area) at PT Sahabat Nusantara Teknologi Inovasi, you will be responsible for driving sales and establishing strong relationships with customers in the oleochemical industry. This contract position is based in South Jakarta, Jakarta and will involve engaging with both existing and potential clients to promote the company's innovative products and solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the oleochemical market
- Manage and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals and demonstrations to showcase the company's offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the technical and product teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to inform the company's sales and product strategies
- Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective prospecting, negotiation and closing of deals
- Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure a positive experience for all clients
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably within the oleochemical industry
- Strong technical knowledge of oleochemical products, applications and market dynamics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to a non-technical audience
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities
- Proficient in using sales tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve sales targets
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g. chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline)
