About the role
As the Head Chef at PT Taurus Gemilang Group, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations of our prestigious restaurant located in the heart of South Jakarta. What you'll be doing
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and timeliness
- Develop and refine innovative menu items that showcase your creativity and culinary flair
- Manage and mentor a team of talented chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including inventory and cost management
- Collaborate with the management team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing kitchen team
- Exceptional culinary skills, with a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and a keen eye for presentation
- Familiarity with Indonesian and international cuisine, and the ability to create unique and memorable dining experiences
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients and a commitment to sustainable practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with the front-of-house team
