Position Overview
The Head of HR will serve as a strategic partner to the Country Management Team, driving H&M's people agenda across Indonesia. This role ensures alignment between business objectives, brand values, and a high-performance culture. The incumbent will oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, learning & development, employee relations, compensation, and organizational design while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals and brand philosophy.
- Act as a key advisor to senior management on all people-related matters, including workforce planning, succession, and organizational transformation.
- Champion company culture and ensure the H&M values are embedded across all levels of the organisation.
Talent Management & Development
- Lead the design and execution of talent acquisition strategies to attract top retail and corporate talent.
- Establish structured development and succession planning frameworks for future leadership pipelines.
- Oversee learning and development initiatives to upskill employees in line with evolving retail trends and digital transformation.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance workplace culture.
- Drive employee engagement programmes that promote retention, motivation, and brand advocacy.
- Lead internal communication initiatives to ensure transparent and consistent messaging across the organization.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee total rewards strategy, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with global H&M standards and local market practices.
- Partner with brand HR to maintain compliance with internal pay policies and equity frameworks.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment practices comply with Indonesian labour laws and company governance standards.
- Oversee HR systems and data management for accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.
- Manage industrial relations and represent the company in negotiations, where necessary.
Sustainability & Diversity
- Promote sustainability, ethical labor practices, and diversity initiatives aligned with H&M's global vision for responsible fashion.
- Partner with CSR teams to support employee participation in social impact and environmental programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within retail, FMCG, or fashion industry.
- Deep understanding of Indonesian labor/Manpower law and HR best practices.
- Proven track record in driving HR transformation, cultural change, and leadership development.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
