Production Manager – Global Manufacturing (Labels & Packaging)

Job Description Production Management
  • Responsible for production results, driving execution of site improvement plans and setting production improvement goals.
  • Analyze and interpret data for long‑term strategic change across multiple teams and shifts.
  • Lead significant projects and improvement initiatives, scheduling, planning, budgeting and controlling assigned production lines.
  • Design and implement production improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory and services.
  • Oversee all health and safety procedures, ensuring safety is employees’ top priority and lead a safe operation of the business unit in compliance with legal, legislative and corporate requirements.
  • Ensure manufacturing team members meet site goals and objectives as part of the annual production plan.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate ordering and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to ensure timely availability and maximize sales potential while maintaining good inventory control.
  • Track and use key performance indicators to promote improved operational and business results.
Employee Development & Management
  • Train and provide development opportunities for staff; ensure annual goals are completed and communicated (Global Performance Management System is updated and provides regular feedback).
  • Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
  • Perform general management duties, exercising authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations; estimate personnel needs, assign work, and ensure consistent application of company policies.
  • Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
Maintenance Focus
  • Ensure maximum efficient production of facilities and equipment, caring for all grounds and support equipment through a technical support staff (supervisors, technicians, custodians) and necessary outside technical and non‑technical services.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise machine and/or building maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Coordinate ordering of parts and services that will maintain or improve machine/facility cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of operations/manufacturing experience with 2+ years of manufacturing leadership in the related industry preferred.
  • Willingness to be assigned to Semarang, Central Java or other sites.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in leading and managing individuals and teams.
  • Knowledge of the assigned manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g., ELS, continuous flow, cellular) and ability to integrate those into operations.
  • Understanding of financial systems and key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication and execution skills at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to lead, contribute and influence others in a team‑based organization.
  • Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to convey information to team members timely and concisely.
