Job Description Summary:
A skilled WordPress Website Developer responsible to revamp and contribute to our corporate website revamp project. You will be responsible for transitioning our current website (built with Classic Editor) to a modern, responsive, and easy-to-manage platform using Full Site Editing (FSE) in WordPress.
You will work closely with our Design Team to implement new designs accurately, ensuring an outstanding user experience across all devices.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for someone passionate about both the technical and creative sides of web development.
Job Description:
- Rebuild our existing corporate website using WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE), working closely with the project lead.
- Implement design mock-ups provided by the internal Design Team.
- Develop custom WordPress blocks and templates where necessary.
- Optimise the website for speed, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
- Set up and configure essential plugins, keeping performance and security in mind.
- Maintain documentation for the website structure and admin processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after the transition.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the site meets business goals.
Job Requirement:
- Proven experience developing WordPress websites, including from-scratch site builds.
- Strong expertise in WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE) and block-based themes.
- Solid understanding of WordPress Classic Editor and migration considerations.
- Ability to turn high-fidelity Figma (or similar) designs into fully functional WordPress pages.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with responsive design frameworks and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with best practices for website performance optimisation and SEO.
- Understanding of security principles for WordPress sites (CSP, Firewall etc)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
